Since Cougar Life does not run a strict confirmation process (apart from the email verification), it is quite understandable that they limited a standard account's freedom in terms of contacting other members.

The only downside is you can't save your search filters, so you have to set them each time.

When it comes to profile information, Cougar Life profiles are informative enough so you can form an idea of what the cougar or cub is like in real life.

A profile will include the member's age, location, ethnicity, education, body type, eye, and hair colour. Aside from these basic details, you can also check out the About Me tabs to learn more about their personality and preferences.

Standard members can view the profile and photos in its entirety. However, a user may have uploaded a private photo gallery; to view this, you will need to send a request. Once they grant you permission, you can freely see their private photos.

Unfortunately, the site doesn't encourage its members to complete their profiles, so several members have half-empty profiles.
